Russia needs to increase foreign broadcasting in foreign countries in order to resist the deformation of the image of the Russian Federation in the world, said the head of the LDPR faction, chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Slutsky.
We also need to increase foreign broadcasting. Vladimir Volfovich [Zhirinovsky] spoke about this dozens of times from various stands. Today we are not heard. PTP-Planet and RT are doing a great and significant work, but this is not enough to resist the deformation of Russia’s image in the world, the head of the Duma faction noted.
According to him, today the Russian Federation is “not heard” in the international arena, which is why “it is very easy to deform our image, make us a “red” Russia, a gangster Russia, which annexes something, so we also have to work on this.”
Leonid Slutsky recalled the tasks that were set by the President, but not fully implemented. We are talking about increasing Russia’s cultural and humanitarian presence in the world many times over, especially in Russian-speaking regions.
