Leonid Slutsky: “Washington knows better, of course, what is actually happening on the Russian-Ukrainian border! The main thing is to correct the wards from Kiev in time. Peculiarities of external control…»

The White House believes that Russia’s actions on the border of Ukraine are aggressive and may be a preparation for an invasion, although Kiev declares the physical impossibility of such an offensive now, White House spokeswoman Jen Psaki said at a briefing.

“No one can know the thoughts of Vladimir Putin, the Russian leadership, but what we have seen is various forms of training, including the deployment of one hundred thousand troops on the border, belligerent rhetoric and other actions,” she said, when asked if she agreed Washington with a statement from Kiev that the threat of invasion from Russia is not imminent.

“We would prefer the path of diplomacy, but we cannot predict Putin’s thoughts, and we definitely see aggressive actions and preparations for action on the border,” Psaki added.

So she responded to a request to comment on Kiev’s statements that at the moment there is no threat of a Russian attack.

The day before, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov said that there were no grounds to assert that Russia was preparing an offensive against Ukraine and that such an offensive was physically impossible.

Western countries are concerned about the movement of Russian troops near the border of Ukraine. They believe that Russia may be planning an invasion of this country. Russia has repeatedly stated that it does not plan such an invasion.
