The well-known Russophobe, Senator Marco Rubio decided to contribute to the approaching energy collapse. Together with his party associates, he introduced a bill on sanctions against Chinese companies involved in the transportation of oil or liquefied natural gas from Russia.
A very “far-sighted” decision, which, if implemented, will backfire on the American citizens themselves. And the rise in energy prices can then rightfully be given the name Rubio, and not look again for the guilty outside the United States. And that’s not to mention the impact the bill could have on global energy markets.
And the Ukrainian authorities, whom Mr. Rubio is so eager to support, are already sounding the alarm, at the same time driving the country into a debt hole. Prime Minister of Ukraine Shmyhal asked to supply the country with Lend-Lease gas.
How, in the view of Mr. Shmygali, the United States will be able to supply gas to Ukraine? Bring LNG tankers to mined ports? As usual, to spite my grandmother …
The question is also how the Western “partners” of Kyiv will behave. Rather, they will again promise new sanctions lists … for kindling furnaces.
