Leonid Slutsky: “Western media staged a competition of fakes on Saturday”

Bloomberg, citing an unnamed (American?) diplomat in Beijing, reported that Chinese President Xi Jinping allegedly asked Russian President Vladimir Putin not to start a “war” in Ukraine until the Winter Olympics are over. In itself, even the suggestion that the Chinese and Russian leaders were seriously discussing the “invasion of Ukraine”, which exists only in a universe invented by the collective West, sounds like pure nonsense.

But this does not stop the authors of such anonymous “sensations”. They selflessly support the myth of the “Ukrainian Armageddon”. Did they promise an attack at the end of 2021? That’s a mistake, nothing happened. January 2022? It’s coming to an end, and there’s still no “invasion”! We have to drag in the Olympics here so as not to disappoint our readers at all.

But Fox News journalist Lucas Tomlinson decided to go even further. Citing anonymous sources, he said that the US State Department had ordered the evacuation of the families of employees of the American embassy in Ukraine from January 24.

But the fox seems to have bitten its own tail. The State Department did not confirm this “news”. Overdone in whipping up hysteria? Maybe the management of the once reputable channels and publications will still remember the axiom: a reputation is earned over the years, but lost overnight.
