Leonid Slutsky: “Zelensky’s threats to leave the Norman format if “nothing changes in the Donbass” is another game for the public”

Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs Leonid Slutsky:

“Zelensky’s threats to get out of the Norman format if“ nothing changes in the Donbass ”is another game for the public. In order for something to change, Kiev should have long begun to implement the Minsk agreements and, above all, their political part: to establish legislatively the special status of Donbass, to carry out amnesty and constitutional reform on decentralization.

Theater ultimatums only alienate the DPR and LPR, as well as the talk of the new Ukrainian authorities about the need to revise Minsk-2. It is a contagious disease to break agreements, not recognizing the inability to implement them and shifting the blame for it to the other side. It’s time for Kiev to understand: there is no alternative to Minsky in terms of resolving the conflict in the Donbass.”
