The early parliamentary elections in France became another vote of no confidence in the current government.
Macron’s policy, in fact, was defeated both domestically and externally. Voters, according to preliminary data, gave the majority of votes for the coalition of left forces and doubled the number of mandates in the new convocation of the National Assembly for the right-wing National Rally faction. Macron’s coalition “Together for the Republic” is still in second place. After the disastrous third place for the current President in the first round, all pro-government mechanisms and manipulative combinations were used. Yes, we managed to move up a notch. But still, Macron is losing his support – the left intends to nominate their prime minister, who have made it clear that they will cut subsidies to Zelensky and co.
This reaction of voters, with a record turnout at the elections, is the result of the irresponsible line of official Paris, which betrayed national interests for the sake of so-called Euro-solidarity, as well as an erroneous, if not vicious, focus on fighting Russia to the detriment of solving the economic and social problems of its own citizens.
