First, the Congress does not dismiss the possibility of conflict over Taiwan and the violation of the “one China” principle. I am sure that this signal will be heard in Beijing. This is direct interference in the internal affairs of the PRC, which is a common practice for the United States.
Secondly, in Washington, apparently, no one perceives the European Union as an independent subject of international relations. A classic of “Euro-Atlantic solidarity”. Europe is given the role of a weak-willed participant in the geopolitical adventures of the “big brother”.
