Currently, in order for a migrant to be allowed to work in Russia, all that is needed is to pay a small amount — an advance payment for a patent. Moreover, the basic amount of this payment has not changed for 10 years. During this time, due to inflation, the amount has become more than half as “weighed”, despite the increase in the regional coefficient.
At the same time, the number of migrants wishing to earn money in our country is growing every year, but the native population is not getting richer from this. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the number of issued work patents has increased compared to last year and amounted to 2.3 million.
It turns out that visiting workers pay off with minimal amounts, and either hide or send abroad most of what they earn. And their families receive social benefits, treatment in our hospitals, education for children in our schools and much more. It’s time to end the “attraction of unheard-of generosity”! Let migrants pay amounts for work permits that are comparable to the economic situation.
LDPR deputies have developed a bill according to which the basic monthly advance payment should be doubled. Such a measure will increase revenues to regional budgets, which means that the funds will go to the needs of our citizens.
