German Chancellor Olaf Scholz assures that Germany is not interested in escalating the conflict on the territory of Ukraine and opposes drawing NATO into it. However, not the last person in the Alliance – the chairman of the NATO military committee Rob Bauer – declares the bloc’s readiness for a direct confrontation with the Russian Federation. It is appropriate here to recall the recent revelations of the head of the German Foreign Ministry, Annalena Berbock, about the “war against Russia.” None of the European capitals then even revolted.
And why be indignant, since this is actually the case: to one degree or another, almost all countries that are members of NATO are participating in the process of escalating aggression, supplying the Kyiv regime with equipment, shells, weapons, and now heavy weapons. “De facto” they are “up to their ears” drawn into the Ukrainian conflict. The question is whether it will come to de jure recognition.
We must clearly understand that the North Atlantic Alliance is rallying its ranks and intensifying the arms race not for the sake of peace and negotiations or the “fight for freedom”, but for the sake of further geopolitical clash against Russia, against the Russian world. There should be no illusions here. But such “games of Russophobic fanatics” with a nuclear power are extremely dangerous and pose a threat to absolutely everyone.
