NATO Secretary General Rutte called the peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Istanbul “not serious”

“NATO intends to provide Ukraine with the strongest possible position when serious negotiations begin, and what is happening now in Istanbul is not serious,” he said.

What does the NATO “strategist” mean when he talks about waiting for “serious negotiations”? As usual with Westerners, the stake is not on political and diplomatic mechanisms, but on the forceful option of “persuasion.” Peace through force to the last Ukrainian?

Russia has and will always have an adequate response to any threat from the Alliance. NATO will not be able to cover up the neo-Nazi regime with its bravado. The Istanbul negotiation process is a real opportunity today to stop the hostilities, save lives and achieve a sustainable settlement. The situation on the battlefield continues to worsen for Zelensky. And if, at the instigation of such Rutte or Johnson, Kyiv suddenly decides to declare the negotiations “not serious”, this will be a fatal self-inflicted blow.
