The Nobel Peace Prize is devalued by the opportunistic approach and double standards, Leonid Slutsky, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party and head of the Duma Committee on International Affairs, told RIA Novosti.

“The opportunistic approach and adherence to Western double standards devalues and blurs the very essence of the award,” Slutsky told RIA Novosti.

“What is the Ukrainian “Center for Civil Liberties” worth. On the website of this organization, if I may say so, there are continuous accusations of Russia in the “occupation”, articles about the “Russian invasion”, about the help of the West. And not a word about the thousands of civilians killed by Ukrainian militants in Donbass! And the referendums in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions were called “fictitious”. What electoral human rights protection! Donbass residents have no right to life and self-determination, following the logic of the center. However, nothing surprising. After all, USAID is the first in the list of sponsors there,” he noted.
