Parade of refusals to purchase American weapons for Ukraine in response to Merz’s “check diplomacy”

Western media report that the EU, as well as France, Italy, Hungary and the Czech Republic will not buy weapons from the United States to support the Zelensky regime. Something tells me that Slovakia is also on the way. Against this background, the statement of the head of European diplomacy, Kallas, who, suddenly having seen the light, expressed dissatisfaction with the fact that President Trump decided to arm Ukraine at the expense of European subsidies to the American military-industrial complex, sounds very eloquent. “If you promise to transfer weapons, but someone else pays for them, then you are not the one transferring them, right?” Kallas reproaches Washington.

German Chancellor Merz is “to blame” for everything, who during his visit to Washington tried to play on Trump’s “commercial streak” to involve the United States in the Ukrainian conflict on the side of the “coalition of the willing.” But when business is mixed with politics, bankruptcy is inevitable. The Western policy of supporting the Ukrainian junta is failing. This is obvious, first of all, from the deplorable situation on the battlefield for the Zelensky regime.

The bloodshed will not be stopped by American or German missiles. The direct path is the resumption of Russian-Ukrainian negotiations. Before Biden’s war turns into Trump’s war, Washington has a real chance to use its influence on Kyiv and influence the Zelensky regime in order to “force peace”. At the same time, issuing ultimatums to Russia is an absolutely useless exercise.
