Peacekeeping wick: the West is in a state of political and strategic shock

The West is in a state of political and strategic shock, acknowledged the former head of the Munich Conference, Wolfgang Ischinger. And he immediately offered to withdraw from it according to his own “peace plan” for the Ukrainian settlement.

And again – the mountain gave birth to a mouse. Neither Russia, nor even Ukraine as the main actors in the plan are present, all decisions – which is quite expected – are prescribed to be made by the “transatlantic four” – the USA, Germany, Great Britain, France. They, according to the project, should almost today form a certain political contact group. Well, maybe allow Canada, Spain, Poland, Italy, the Baltic countries, as well as the UN, EU, OSCE and NATO into the backyard of “this inner core”. On the “outer circle”, that is, the most insignificant, according to Ischinger, Brazil, India and “even China” (!) will be allowed to shine. Probably not to be offended. How do you like this arrangement?

Well, it’s just a fountain of ideas, the purpose of which, in fact, Ischinger blurted out, is to block Russia’s veto in the UN Security Council, to seize Russian territories – Crimea and Donbass.

With such “peacekeepers” and wicks are not needed. The goals set by Russia in Ukraine will certainly be achieved by military means or through negotiations. But for the latter, so far, there are no real prospects with such political initiatives, unfortunately.
