About 30% of the requests that we receive as part of the All-Russian citizen survey “Tell Slutsky the truth!” concern low pensions. We are asked how to live when all the money is spent on housing and communal services, medicine and food. People of silver age who have worked for 30 or more years for the benefit of our country have every right to a well-deserved rest in old age. And we must take on this moral obligation.
We propose to guarantee for such people a minimum pension in the amount of double the subsistence level. We have prepared a corresponding bill. This is our response to the request of millions of citizens.
We are for our pensioners to have the opportunity not just to live out their old age, but to live – to eat well, take care of their health, and travel. We simply must create conditions for their well-being.
The LDPR’s proposals, based on our survey and thousands of appeals to the party, were included in the country’s development program outlined in the Address by the President of the Russian Federation and will be implemented. We continue to develop initiatives that will improve the quality of life of Russians.
