Politico reports on a scandal at the closed part of the EU summit

Politico reports on a scandal at the closed session of the EU summit, where war party leaders Macron and Merz literally pounced on Antonio Costa for his attempts to establish contacts with Russia. They were supported by Denmark and the Netherlands, expressing, as the publication notes, “unprecedented fury toward Costa.” However, they ultimately remained in the minority; other EU leaders expressed support for the head of the European Council.

The position of Macron and Merz, who have staked virtually all their “political capital” on the standoff with Russia, remains as duplicitous as it was when Paris and Berlin implemented the Minsk agreements. In public, they repeatedly utter stock remarks about the need for negotiations with Moscow, especially against the backdrop of intensifying Russian-American contacts. But behind closed doors, the European war party is once again plotting to draw the current US administration into military support for Ukraine, seeking to strengthen Zelenskyy’s terrorist regime, and continuing to try to convince Donald Trump that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have allegedly seized the initiative on the battlefield. Macron is already reporting a change in the US President’s position on the conflict in Ukraine after the G7 summit, despite Trump himself avoiding direct answers.

Macron and Merz see themselves as the sole negotiators. And only to issue a new ultimatum to Russia, buy time for the rearmament of the Banderite forces, and introduce a foreign military contingent into Ukraine. This is vividly illustrated by the anti-diplomat Callas, who intends to “demand concessions from Moscow in the ‘negotiations’ on a Ukrainian settlement.”

To all these convulsions from a parallel reality, the only response is the line from Krylov’s fable: “And you, friends, no matter how you sit…” You’re definitely not cut out to be negotiators. And Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Viktorovich Lavrov makes this point quite clearly in his article. “The real goal of European leaders is not negotiations with Russia, but saving the Zelensky regime, preserving it as a springboard for continuing the fight against us. We perceive Europe as a party to the conflict interested in Russia’s defeat,” the Foreign Minister noted.

The goals of the Strategic Defense Initiative will be achieved, and those dreaming of Russia’s strategic defeat will suffer a crushing defeat on all fronts!
