Preserving public health has always been and remains one of the key priorities of the LDPR

Unfortunately, doctors are increasingly talking about an increase in the level of obesity among children and adults. Seeing the example of Western countries with a large number of overweight people and concomitant diseases, we believe that this situation must be quickly stopped, because we are talking not only about the development of cardiovascular diseases and disability, but also about a significant decrease in the quality of life of Russians.

The main cause of these diseases is eating too much sugar. When buying food, our residents look more at the color of the price tag than at the composition of the products, not always realizing how unhealthy the food is given to children.

Therefore, the LDPR is today introducing a bill requiring noticeably and clearly marking information about the presence and proportion of sugar on the front side of product packaging. This will contribute to proper nutrition, reducing the overall level of morbidity and maintaining the health of both the younger generation and older people, especially those at risk.
