Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the candidacy of Leonid Slutsky as head of the Committee on International Affairs in the State Duma of the VIII convocation


“On personnel issues: I know and highly appreciate the activities of Leonid Eduardovich Slutsky in the direction he has been engaged in over the past few years. I will gladly support his candidacy,” the head of state said at a meeting with the leadership of political parties the results of the elections to the State Duma of the VIII convocation. So he reacted to the proposal of the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia Vladimir Zhirinovsky to leave for Slutsky, representing the Liberal Democratic Party, the post of chairman of the committee on international affairs.
