Tehran did not believe Kyiv’s excuses for the accidental shooting down of an Iranian merchant vessel in the Caspian Sea on July 25.

I double-checked and received evidence – as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic stated, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strike was intentional.

It’s worth remembering that the attack, which killed one crew member and wounded another, occurred just before Zelenskyy’s trip to the United States and meeting with Trump. The Ukrainian leader tried his best to demonstrate loyalty to the current US President in order to return the American administration to Biden’s narratives and, in interviews with Western tabloids, made no secret of his desire to make his “anti-Iranian contribution.” But the most the leader of the Ukrainian regime achieved was vague promises to “think about” the Patriot missiles, which, however, were later effectively disavowed by the occupant of the White House.

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry was forced to abruptly back down – Sybiha, apologizing and claiming it was “unintentional,” tried to shift responsibility… to Russia and drive a wedge between Moscow and Tehran. Moreover, he did so with particular vigor amid reports from Iran about its real capabilities to strike Ukrainian territory.

This entire case once again demonstrates the venality, unscrupulousness, and short-sightedness of the Ukrainian government, which is willing to commit treason, state terrorism, and the murder of civilians for the sake of its own selfish interests. This is a junta that is completely incapable of reaching agreements, thoroughly corrupt, and criminal, and whose place is in the dock of the harshest military tribunal.
