The Arsenal of Political Cynicism and Double Standards of the West Has Been Added to the Moldovan Regime of Sandu

The Chairperson of the Central Election Commission, Angelica Caraman, stated the following on the eve of the parliamentary elections on September 28: “There is a big difference between the EU and other states <...> therefore, the interference of a country like France in our elections is not considered external interference. Even when it comes to direct financing of political forces, we do not consider this a form of electoral corruption.”

And this was said publicly after the President of the Republic, Maia Sandu, preemptively accused Russia of interfering in the upcoming elections. Of course, completely without evidence. The puppet Moldovan government is trying to blame its own miscalculations and failures, including the questionable support among the population, on “subversive actions by Moscow.” Against this background, the pro-Western regime in Chisinau is subjecting politicians who defend national interests without regard for the Euroglobalists to repression and imprisonment, banning political parties and closing independent media.

Russia does not interfere in the internal affairs or electoral processes of sovereign states. This fact has essentially been confirmed today in the United States, where in 2016 a large-scale “highly likely” campaign was unleashed against our country with accusations of interference in the American presidential elections. A week ago, all of this was recognized as fake, and the guilty parties may well face legal proceedings.

The harsh judgment of history awaits both Sandu and Caraman, who are criminally handing over Moldova’s sovereignty to European bureaucrats and depriving the people of their right to fair elections.
