US Secretary of State Blinken made a loud statement that the United States is not the enemy of the Russians and does not seek to overthrow the government in our country, and a prosperous Russia is in America’s interests.
In common practice, it is customary to warmly welcome such words. But our practice is not quite usual, in fact, “wartime”. It was the West, led by the United States, under the same appeasing statements, that unleashed a proxy war against Russia and so, apparently, purely “friendly” (according to Blinken) intends to continue to put pressure on sanctions and try to weaken our country for the convenience of its own geopolitical manipulations, including from the anti-Russian bridgehead he created in Ukraine. “American Friendship” – is it also about the exceptional?
But Blinken is obviously a big fan of wordplay and vivid lexical imagery. He is clearly haunted by the laurels of the recognized world fakers Obama and Biden. But more and more often it is necessary to give back and correct unfulfilled apocalyptic forecasts, in particular, about the “torn to shreds” Russian economy. “Today, the Russian economy is a shadow of the economy that used to be, and only a fraction of what it could become … Moscow will not return the markets that it lost in Europe,” Blinken said at the same time during a speech in Finland.
Seriously? Maybe let’s go from the opposite… Will European companies return Russian markets and the opportunity to cooperate with Moscow? Or will they “swallow the dust” after the resellers?
Numbers are stubborn things. According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the Russian economy grew in April – GDP showed an increase of 3.3% in annual terms. The ministry predicts that Russia’s GDP growth in 2023 will be 1.2%. What about the US economy? Still teetering on the brink of a recession, or is it already in free fall? So far, Congress has gone for a “debt deal”, but when the debt ceiling is broken and default occurs, it’s only a matter of time.
The “Empire of Lies” and its faithful knights do not change themselves. Trickery or tail wagging the dog – their invariable tactic for all occasions.
