The European Commission has officially given the go-ahead for interstate plunder by presenting legal proposals for the expropriation of Russian sovereign assets.

EC President von der Leyen completely ignored the protest from Belgium, where €165 billion of the €210 billion in gold and foreign exchange reserves frozen in Europe are stored. According to her, “everything is within the legal framework.” Furthermore, the so-called head of European diplomacy, Kallas, called on the Belgians “not to exaggerate the issue,” claiming that no court in Europe would rule in Russia’s favor.

Having plunged Europe into economic troubles with its Russophobic policies, the cash-strapped “war party” is frantically seeking funds to finance the continued agony of Zelenskyy’s thieving junta. However, the theft of Russian reserves cannot be justified by any “legal framework.” There are none, and none exist, in a civilized society.

The European Union, through the efforts of the likes of Kallas and von der Leyen, is essentially turning into a gang of hardened thieves and murderers. All the stolen funds are planned to be used not for the restoration of Ukraine, destroyed by Western architects of anti-Russia, but for the furnace of a war to the last Ukrainian.

Russia’s response will be harsh. We will hold them accountable for both the reserves and the interest. They will have to answer for it; they shouldn’t harbor any “illusions of impunity.” And how can one not recall Gleb Zheglov’s famous line, as performed by Vladimir Vysotsky: “A thief should go to prison!”
