More than two hundred participants from Latin American countries and the Caribbean region came to Moscow. There are three days of meetings and joint events ahead.
Latin America has been the target of expansion, if not outright aggression, by the United States for many years. But colonial times are becoming a thing of the past, no matter how much the West may oppose it. Today, Latin American states are striving to form a multipolar system of international relations based on equality, justice, respect for international law and national interests. And in this we are allies and like-minded people.
As emphasized President Vladimir Putin, opening the Conference, Russia is ready to “build interaction on a bilateral basis , and work closely with integration associations in the region.” I am sure that the Interparliamentary Conference will be held. The conference will raise Russian cooperation with Latin American countries to a qualitatively new level.
