The LDPR proposes to create a state program to support gifted children

At a meeting on Lyceum Student Day, I talked with the winners and finalists of Olympiads and competitions about the prospects of talented youth, the existing opportunities to enter a prestigious university, and engage in science.

Many people in cities and settlements remote from Moscow want to study, participate in Olympiads and internships. But the budget of families, especially in rural areas, does not allow them to pay for a tutor, online classes, and especially for trips to participate in national or international competitions.

Assistance for talented youth varies from region to region and strongly depends on the funds allocated for this from the budgets of the constituent entities, the personal involvement of the heads in issues of youth policy and education.

The state program for supporting gifted children will provide equal opportunities to schoolchildren from rural areas, small towns and capitals. We will be able to identify talented children at the earliest stages who are capable of developing science, art, and becoming brilliant engineers and politicians. You just need to provide them with help at every stage – from preparing for the Olympiad to entering a university and going to work. Constant work with gifted people, starting from a very early age, will help stop the “brain drain” abroad and provide a much-needed human resource for the Russian economy.
