Acting Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Yuri Kim said at a hearing in the Foreign Relations Committee of the US Senate that we should be talking about Armenia’s partnership “with the United States, and not with Russia.” And she immediately outlined the task – to provide the Armenian side with “comprehensive assistance” while understanding the importance of support in the defense sector and security issues. Much more frank!
This is exactly how the West “approached” Kiev at one time. And today we see the result – Ukraine has turned into a US puppet, bankrupt with a destroyed economy, external control and lost sovereignty, a country where tens of thousands of Ukrainians gave their lives for other people’s interests and ambitions.
Now Washington is ready to “help” Yerevan, obviously dreaming of creating a new anti-Russian bridgehead in Transcaucasia. But all his plans to weaken Russia are crumbling before our eyes. This is what you need to remember! Transatlantic “sponsorship” has not benefited any country in the world, bringing only troubles and grief, blood and destruction. And this is precisely what American “partnership” and “development assistance” ultimately lead to.
