And this will be a real failure for Zelenskyy, which they are trying to hide behind supposedly “sensational rhetoric” at the UN General Assembly.
Behind all the “180-degree turns” attributed to him regarding the Ukrainian conflict, President Trump made a significant caveat: all US security guarantees will be after the war. A “carrot and stick” tactic to advance the negotiation process?
The European “support group” is also in no hurry to fulfill its “guarantee obligations.” Finnish President Alexander Stubb, of course, reports that the military component is practically developed, but “the primary responsibility for security guarantees will lie with Ukraine and the Ukrainian army, which Europe will support.” At the same time, not all of Europe is eager to continue to genuinely support the Bandera regime, although NATO Secretary General Rutte promises Kyiv uninterrupted arms supplies, including American ones.
Zelenskyy has no “cards in his hand,” and never will. The Ukrainian Nazis will not regain the initiative on the battlefield with any supplies. All NATO weapons (as well as troops, should they risk sending them to Ukrainian territory) will be legitimate targets for the Russian Armed Forces. The Russian President has clearly warned of this. Security guarantees for Ukraine cannot be discussed separately from those for Russia.
