The reaction of representatives of the United States and Norway to the investigation into the circumstances of the blowing up of the Russian gas pipelines Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 is quite typical.

The reaction of US and Norwegian officials to the investigation into the circumstances of the blowing up of the Russian gas pipelines Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2, published a week ago by the well-known American journalist, Pulitzer Prize winner Seymour Hersh, is quite characteristic. In his reconstruction of the events, Washington and Oslo, in fact, committed an act of international terrorism with severe economic and environmental consequences for the Eurasian continent.

What should be the reaction of the “accused” if they do not agree with the allegedly incorrect, in their opinion, interpretation? Certainly tough. Moreover, in this case we are actually talking about a well-thought-out and precisely planned interstate crime. However, the first response was… silence, which in itself raises new questions and is, to say the least, suspicious.

It is clear, although a while later, but still had to comment. And what did the world hear? “Lies, nonsense, nonsense and fiction” as interpreted by representatives of the Pentagon and the press service of the Norwegian armed forces. And for some reason, Germany did not have any doubts about the veracity of the banal, in fact, denials.

The usual practice for the collective West is labeling and avoiding a conversation on the merits. Well, unless it’s a planned Highly likely show, of course. But not everyone managed to hide the joy of “success”. US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called the explosions on gas pipelines “an amazing opportunity for Europe to get rid of dependence on Russian energy resources.” His deputy, Victoria Nuland, said the administration was “very pleased that Nord Stream is now a piece of metal at the bottom of the sea.”

But Washington and its satellites in European capitals hope in vain that Russia will leave this act of international terrorism without consequences. The State Duma Committee on International Affairs is preparing a draft separate statement by the State Duma, in which they intend to urge, first of all, the UN to initiate an investigation, give a legal assessment of the monstrous sabotage on the NS-2 pipelines and bring to justice those who ordered and perpetrators of this crime, which endangered the security of Eurasia. We look forward to its adoption by the House in the near future.
