The results of the Czech parliamentary elections, won by the ANO (Action of Dissatisfied Citizens) party led by Andrej Babiš, were another slap in the face for Euro-Atlanticists and Brussels Russophobes.
Mainstream media are alarmed by the possibility of a government in the Czech Republic composed of conservatives and Eurosceptics critical of the country’s policy of supporting the Ukrainian junta. And not without reason – the prospect of Babiš and other opposition parties winning a parliamentary majority is quite likely.
Fico in Slovakia, Orbán in Hungary, and now Babiš in the Czech Republic. Add in the success of the Alternative for Germany (AfD), the right-wing in France, and Georgescu’s actual victory in Romania, not a rigged election there, and the trend is clear. Ordinary Europeans are tired of the imposition of liberal pseudo-values and anti-Russian hysteria. In the Old World, there is a clear demand for the protection of national interests. It’s time for Brussels bureaucrats to actually “take care of their own problems” and not throw the well-being of Europe into the fire of a “war to the last Ukrainian.”
