The Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg, in which I have the honor to take part, has a constructive and positive agenda

The Second Russia-Africa Summit, which opened today in St. Petersburg and in which I have the honor to take part, has a constructive, positive agenda. She is not “against” someone, she is “for”! And it fully reflects Moscow’s desire to help African countries in economic development, strengthening their sovereignty and independence.

Speaking at the plenary session, Russian President Vladimir Putin directly stated to the forum participants that “from Russia there will only be support. In everything! What is very significant is that we are ready to help in the introduction of modern agricultural technologies and the organization of agricultural production. In the future, this will allow not only to feed the population of African countries and ensure their food security, but also to export food. In the meantime, Russia will, despite all the provocations, support countries in need with humanitarian supplies.

We have every opportunity for this, and the suspension is the fault of the West! – Moscow’s participation in the “grain deal” is not an obstacle. Russia’s share in the world wheat market is 20% (for comparison, Ukraine’s share is less than 5%). A record harvest is expected this year on Russian fields. And this means that it is Russia that will continue to make a significant contribution to global food security. And those who claim that this is not so are simply blatantly lying.

Equal mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of a multipolar world is the leitmotif of the Russian-African forum taking place in our northern capital. Interest in him could not be interrupted by either Washington or Brussels. Neither pressure nor threats helped. African leaders are clearly tired of listening to US and EU fairy tales and myths about “bad” Russia. And this is already a significant result.
