The arrest of the Bashkan of Gagauzia Eugenia Gutsul under the pretext of financial violations is clearly politically motivated.
Evgenia Gutsul is a modern Moldovan politician who openly advocates for the restoration of constructive and mutually beneficial (first of all) relations with Russia. Her bold position in defending the interests of her people is like a “bone in the throat” for Romanian citizen Maia Sandu and her Western masters, who are artificially pushing a course towards Russophobia in Moldova.
The Parliament of Gagauzia immediately expressed protest and demanded the immediate release of the head of the Autonomy with an international investigation into the actions of Moldovan prosecutors. We support the Gagauz people, we call on Chisinau to comply with international law and abandon methods of overt political pressure. Eugenia Gutsul must be released!
