It didn’t and won’t! The country survived, the main economic indicators are growing. Partners are ready to continue working with our country, and those who have left our market are well-advised to go there, although no one closes the doors.
But I would also like to single out one of the most important topics of my speech – saving people. The head of state paid a lot of attention to it, and this is a serious marker of sustainable development of both the economy and society. For us, it is extremely important that the initiatives of the Liberal Democratic Party were heard. In particular, Vladimir Putin announced an increase in the minimum wage by 18.5% from 2024. The party has long been talking about the need to increase it.
And we are ready to move on. If the minimum wage cannot yet be set at 30,000 rubles, the Liberal Democratic Party proposes to exempt citizens who earn less than this amount from personal income tax. It is necessary to continue to keep under control the issues of combating poverty, the President pays special attention to this.
But here it is also important to implement the initiatives declared as tools of the “supply economy”. The Liberal Democratic Party, in its policy provisions, proposes to save entrepreneurs from unnecessary checks, make the tax system more friendly, and develop the IT sector as a priority.
All measures to develop and improve the economy should ultimately serve the main goals – improving the well-being of citizens and increasing the number of Russians. Let me remind you that the Liberal Democratic Party sets the task of doubling the population of Russia in the next 50 years.
