The symbolism of holding a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Kyiv has faded amid the lack of news about the allocation of the EU military tranche to Ukraine

The symbolism of holding an informal meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the European Union in Kiev has clearly faded amid the lack of news about the allocation of the next EU military tranche to Ukraine in the amount of 5 billion euros and, conversely, reports about the suspension of its funding from the United States.

The meeting was preceded by a statement by the head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, who repeatedly regretted and was surprised at the adoption by American legislators of a draft 45-day budget without a section on assistance to Ukraine. But, apparently, the opinion of US congressmen turned out to be a more significant factor for high-ranking representatives of European countries, who decided this time “not to cut corners” in response to Zelensky’s “give, give, give” requests and postpone the decision-making process until the end of the year.

They didn’t give me any money, but they promised support. And what else. German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock generally proclaimed that the “European community of freedom” will very soon extend “from Lisbon to Lugansk.” Is this some kind of plagiarism of General de Gaulle’s concept of a Greater Europe, where Berbock again mixed up the meaning and words? Frau’s background clearly suffers not only in mathematics, but also in history and geography.

The bottom line: there are more and more signs of fatigue of the collective West from the Ukrainian-fascist regime. Washington and Brussels have driven themselves into a dead end of the anti-Russian confrontation in Ukraine, throwing billions of dollars and euros down the drain. Western support for Kyiv is turning into a set of frankly stupid appeals, leading to scandals with honoring Nazis in parliaments.
