The tragedy in Chukotka once again emphasizes: life in regions with extremely harsh climatic conditions is a real test for a person

That is why the quality of life there must be ensured at the highest level. I personally traveled through the Far Eastern regions as part of the election campaign and visited Chukotka. It’s a difficult region, living there is very, very difficult. The LDPR is developing initiatives for residents of remote regions as a separate direction of its program. We are working to increase wages and guarantees for Far Easterners and Siberians, and advocate for providing them with preferences in trades, including fishing. We will continue to strive to create the possibility of early retirement. Living in harsh regions should be comfortable.

I offer my condolences to the families of the victims. Special thanks to everyone who joined the search efforts. Without mutual assistance, the North cannot survive.
