The United States, as a drug dealer, put Europe on the needle of LNG, and now “breaking” is not excluded

Biden’s decision to run for a second term could be, above all, a serious test for Europeans in matters of energy security.

Joe Biden during his visit to Ireland announced his readiness to run again in the US presidential election . As the current head of state, who has vast information resources, he will, of course, use topics related to solving acute social problems, one of which is the reduction in energy prices for domestic consumption, to attract voters. And here experts do not exclude that an initiative to ban exports may be made American LNG to stabilize the market in the United States itself.

This is the time for Europeans to think. For example, about whether supplies of liquefied natural gas from the United States will continue in the expected volume. Washington has previously made every effort to break Russia’s energy ties with European countries. Anti-Russian sanctions and sabotage by blowing up the Nord Stream gas pipelines actually forced the Old World to buy American energy resources at 30-50 percent more than before from Russian companies. But at the same time, LNG reserves in the United States, as it turned out, are not unlimited. Nobody prevents Biden and his team, aimed at a new presidential term, from reducing exported volumes in the interests of their voters.

In other words, Europe’s energy security is now tied to the US electoral cycle. Need to appease voters? Forgive me, Europeans, the next batch of LNG will not be soon. Will Euro-Atlantic solidarity survive such a starvation ration? Big question.

And can someone remind you: when the supply of Russian pipeline gas depended on the elections in Russia? The countries of Europe, as they say, will be able to make sure in their own “skin” of the validity of Moscow’s warnings about the unreliability and selfishness of their transatlantic “partner”. America’s business has long been “not as usual.”
