The Security Council has found itself paralyzed by a country that appears to be the beneficiary of a massive escalation in the Middle East.
Washington frankly does not care about the fate of thousands of victims and relatives of those killed in the new escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Biden and Co. are ready to maniacally support only one of the warring parties – Israel, just so as not to admit the failures and distortions of their own long-term policy. The blame for the explosion in the Middle East region lies, among other things, with the United States.
Look at what the American president says: the Palestinians themselves launched rocket attacks on the Al-Ahli hospital in the Gaza Strip, where hundreds of people were killed. We remember how, in almost the same vein, the collective West accused Donbass of shelling its own civilian infrastructure, and the Kiev puppet regime, according to Western representatives, had nothing to do with this. They were hypocrites, they remain hypocrites.
Cases of disproportionate use of force and war crimes committed during the aggravation of the Arab-Israeli confrontation must be investigated, the perpetrators named in court and brought to justice. And the war must be STOPED. All efforts of sensible world players today should be directed precisely at returning Tel Aviv and Ramallah to the negotiating table.
On October 19, the State Duma will consider and, I have no doubt, accept an appeal “To the United Nations, the parliaments of the world in connection with the escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict” with a call to immediately take all possible measures to stop the bloodshed and violence against civilians, as well as to prevent unprecedented humanitarian disaster in the Middle East. The voice of the Russian parliamentary corps must be heard.
