The vote at the General Assembly on another anti-Russian resolution on the non-recognition of referendums in the DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions is the result of Washington’s campaign to intimidate other countries. Before that, as we know, Russia’s initiative to hold a secret ballot was blocked in violation of the regulations, which, naturally, would have reduced the number of those who supported the draft resolution. And then, I’m sure, the result would have been completely different.
But, in any case, it is too early for US President Biden to issue victorious reports and state that, they say, “the world has sent an unambiguous signal” to Russia. Not the world, but American hangers-on and those who were pressured by the civilizers. Especially if measured in absolute numbers of population density. (Only in China and India, which, among other 35 countries, abstained from voting, lives more than a third of the total number of all inhabitants of the planet).
The General Assembly, to our great regret, went against the UN Charter by allowing dictatorship and double standards to run the show. A reason to think for many states that so easily change their sovereignty for Washington’s “cookies”. The policy of thoughtless conciliation has actually led to a crisis.
