Another autumn flare-up in the European Parliament. MEPs, with an aggressively obedient majority (but not unanimously), adopted a resolution calling for Ukraine to be allowed to strike targets in Russia with Western weapons without restrictions and to shoot down Russian aircraft in EU airspace. It also reiterates accusations against Moscow of “hybrid warfare” using drones and even terrorism (!). They are unfazed by the lack of evidence regarding the “country of origin” of the drones. Nor are they concerned about the real, daily terrorist attacks by Banderites on peaceful Russian cities in the border region and elsewhere.
Against this backdrop, Zelenskyy threatens Russia with a blackout and promises to nominate Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize after supplying the Kyiv junta with long-range Tomahawk missiles for strikes deep into our country. And all this is not only not condemned in the European community. On the contrary, it is met with applause.
“War is peace” was one of the slogans in George Orwell’s dystopian novel “1984.” And it seems to be the new motto of the European parliamentarians voting on such resolutions. The European Parliament has become not only a hotbed of Russophobia. Today, its leadership has become a headquarters for supporting Zelenskyy’s terrorist regime and an accomplice to all his crimes.
