At the time of the terrible events, Nicholas II was no longer a tsar and a threat to the Bolshevik dictatorship. But they dealt bloodthirstily with the last Russian monarch. The perpetrators killed everyone: Nicholas Romanov and his wife Alexandra Feodorovna, their five children, servants – 11 people. They finished them off with bayonets. Cold-bloodedly and mercilessly.
It is painful to remember these atrocities. This is a symbol of the fratricidal Civil War, which split Russia, brought millions of victims, and left wounds in the memory of the Russian people that have not healed to this day. We are sure: such tragedies are a terrible lesson that must not be forgotten. We must not forget, we must not justify.
It is especially sad that traces of that crime still remain in our capital. In Moscow, there is a metro station named after Voikov – one of the organizers and participants in the execution of the royal family. A man who did not repent, and moreover, was proud of having taken part in this massacre. We believe that such names have no place on the map of the capital of Russia. This is an insult to the memory of the innocently killed, canonized, an insult to common sense.
The LDPR has always stood for historical truth and respect for the memory of our people. Russia will be stronger when references to the executioners and terrorists who drowned Russia in blood at the beginning of the 20th century disappear from the streets of its cities, when attempts to justify them and silence the suffering of the victims cease. Everything that divided us then must be eradicated completely today.
The LDPR is for historical justice!
