On September 21st, Russia has celebrated events throughout history that have become symbols of its strength and spiritual greatness.
On this day, we remember the Victory at Kulikovo Field—the great battle of 1380, when princes and people, setting aside their differences, stood shoulder to shoulder against the enemy. Thus was born an invincible power, capable of defending itself and its people.
September 21st is also associated with Novgorod, the cradle of ancient Rus’. The “Millennium of Russia” monument, a symbol of our people’s great history, was unveiled here.
And today, the Orthodox world celebrates the Nativity of the Most Holy Theotokos. This day reminds us of the spiritual roots that sustained our people in the most difficult times.
It is no coincidence that the great Zhirinovsky called September 21st the Day of the Birth of Russian Statehood. He was the first to propose giving this date a special status.
We believe it is important to continue to uphold this position of the Party Founder and establish a new commemorative day—Russian Statehood Day.
We honor the deeds of our ancestors, draw on spiritual traditions, and look to the future. September 21 is a reminder that Russia has its own origins, its own history, and its own great strength, which has helped its people move forward for centuries.
Let’s restore greatness to the Russian people—let’s make them respect Russia!
