Today we celebrate the Day of Military Glory of Russia – the Day of the defeat of Nazi troops by Soviet troops in the Battle of Stalingrad

On February 2, 1943, the entire planet saluted the Victory in Stalingrad. Franklin Roosevelt wrote that the fortitude and dedication of the Soviet people will forever inspire the hearts of all free people. And Winston Churchill called Stalingrad a symbol of the courage and perseverance of the Russian people.

Today we say that Stalingrad is a steel city. And the men of steel won Victory.

Very little time has passed, and today the followers of these politicians are brazenly distorting everything that was said, trying to downplay the scale of what happened.

We remember and will preserve the feat of the soldiers who fought in the battle for Stalingrad, when every house, every meter of their native land rose like a steel wall against the invaders. It is thanks to our defenders that we live in a free and independent country.

The same goes for a special military operation. Today in the Donbass, on the fields of the Northern Military District, we stand just as firmly and will not give up an inch of Russian land. We remember and thank everyone. Low bow to veterans and those who were scorched by the war.
