Ukraine risks remaining an EU vassal without formal membership, and Ursula von der Leyen faces another “diplomatic” low. According to Politico, the head of the European Commission could “preside over the longest period in history without admitting new members.”
Ukraine’s economy is already completely dependent on Brussels, which literally keeps it on life support. This is all for the sake of prolonging the existence of the Bandera regime and weakening Russia through a proxy war to the “last Ukrainian.” This is precisely why billions of euros are being spent on arms supplies to neo-Nazis and undermining the possibility of a negotiated settlement.
However, looking deeper, the support of the Zelenskyy regime by Brussels bureaucrats will sooner or later call into question the integrity of the EU itself. Attempts to expedite Ukraine’s accession to the bloc are already being met with misunderstanding and criticism from the countries that initially formed it. With such an approach, the Kyiv junta will remain a weight on Europe’s shoulders. And most sensible European politicians are well aware of this.
