Ursula von der Leyen again accuses Moscow of undermining Europe’s energy security

“Russia deliberately used energy supplies as a weapon,” the head of the EC claimed at the summit in London.

Therefore, they say, the European Commission intends to introduce a roadmap to refuse imports of Russian energy resources. In other words, to propose a real plan to reduce the very energy security of the “Old World”, which risks being left without electricity.

No matter what von der Leyen says, it was the short-sighted Russophobic policy that led to problems in the European energy sector, rising consumer prices for fuel and electricity, and a general deterioration in the standard of living of ordinary Europeans. However, Brussels does not want to admit its mistakes.

At the same time, the same European Commission failed to achieve a ban on EU countries purchasing Russian LNG. In 2024, their sharp increase was recorded. But von der Leyen prefers to remain silent about this – the truth is too inconvenient for her, almost like a statement of her own incompetence.
