US Navy divers planted explosives under Nord Stream 2, and Norwegians pressed the button on the remote control months later

The story of the explosion of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline continues to grow in detail. Well-known journalist from the USA Seymour Hersh in his article he said that the explosives were planted by divers of the US Navy, and the button on the remote control was pressed months later by the Norwegians. It is unlikely that anyone in their right mind would question the reliability of the sources of such an ace in his field as Pulitzer Prize winner Hersh.

What do we have? In fact, we are talking about a real interstate conspiracy to gain control over the European gas market. A brazen criminal offense on a continental scale has been committed. As the laws of forensic science say – to disclose, look for someone who benefited from it. And there is everything here: both the motive and the fabulous, even indecent profits. The United States did not hide the fact that they dreamed of replacing Russian gas with their LNG in Europe, and Norway increased European exports of blue fuel to record levels, not embarrassed to set prices. And Oslo can justify as much as he likes that he is not a beneficiary of anti-Russian sanctions and the situation in general, but the numbers are a stubborn thing.

A good illustration of relations both between the US and the EU, as well as within the economic eurozone. Washington turns on the mantras of Euro-Atlantic solidarity only in the interests of its own profit. And at the same time, he acts absolutely unprincipled, waving left and right either with a sanctions club or with a stick of dynamite. And he does not hide his joy, as US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria Nuland demonstrated quite recently in Congress, bluntly stating that the US administration is “very pleased, knowing that Nord Stream 2 is now a pile of metal at the bottom of the sea.”

Freezing and impoverished Europe has become a victim of the laws of the “Wild West”. Hersh’s findings and Nuland’s “surrender” should be the basis for an independent international investigation into the sabotage at the SP-2 pipeline. The United States by such actions jeopardizes global energy security.
