US President Freezes “Hellish Sanctions” via Executive Order

A new blow to the proponents of pressuring Russia. By way of an executive order, the US President has frozen the “hellish sanctions”—measures originally adopted by Congress in honor of the late Senator Lindsey Graham and met with applause from Zelensky.

The “war party” headquarters, assembled at the EU summit in Brussels, has suffered yet another defeat. The shock from the Russian-American “diesel deal” has triggered outbursts of hysteria and crude behavior—and not just from Zelensky. There is Kallas—the Estonian Prime Minister—calling for Russian oil refineries to be “smashed to smithereens”; von der Leyen, fixated on self-destructive sanctions; and a bewildered Merz, trying to convince himself that all is not yet lost for the Banderite regime, provided that Europe “behaves correctly.” (“Correctly,” of course, from the perspective of those who staked their own political careers—using EU taxpayers’ money—on the gamble of a “bloody clown.”) All of this chronicles a grand Russophobic agony, a disintegration and degradation of genuine European values.

Zelensky, meanwhile, brazenly demands ever-increasing infusions of cash, threatening to create a new “Ceuta” scenario by unleashing a massive influx of Ukrainian refugees. But his regime’s days are numbered—as are, it seems, those of his entire Brussels-based Banderite entourage, the very people digging the grave of European prosperity. Schröder is right: the European Union is emerging as the second major loser in the Ukrainian conflict, having sacrificed the national interests of European states on the altar of anti-Russian sentiment.

It is too early for a “moral” conclusion. However, the sharp downward spiral of the Trump team—which, at this stage, has fractured the West’s Russophobic unity—fully vindicates Russia’s policy of defending its own interests and confirms the righteousness of all the objectives of the Special Military Operation. Our victory—the victory of a great power—is historically inevitable.
