United States Assistant Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland, the same one who handed out “cookies” on the Maidan in Kyiv during the bloody coup in 2014, stated that the US administration is ready to consider the possibility of easing sanctions against Russia in serious negotiations on Ukraine.
There are also conditions: the withdrawal of Russian forces and the “return of the territories.” So Mrs. Nuland, apparently, named the new Russian regions, whose inhabitants voluntarily voted in a referendum for joining the Russian Federation.
Nuland’s message itself is unacceptable. Historic decisions do not change for promises to revise thoughtless sanctions. DPR, LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson region are now with Russia forever. We don’t leave ours! And we do not refuse the goals of the NWO to demilitarize and denazify Ukraine. In the name of saving people. But this is unlikely to be understood in Washington, where “surrendering” yesterday’s allies is the norm.
There were sound voices in the Senate. During today’s hearings, Senator Rand Paul reminded Nuland of the possibilities of parliamentary diplomacy and asked if the State Department was ready for mutual removal of restrictions so that Russian deputies and members of the US Congress could conduct a dialogue. A reasonable proposal met with a vague response from the Under Secretary of State about “a willingness to consider steps that would be in the interests of the United States.” Here it is, the readiness of the State Department for dialogue …
