Russian citizens should not be afraid of finding themselves on the same street at night with a migrant with a criminal record of robbery, assault, or murder. They should not be afraid to let their children go to school alone or visit friends down the street.
According to the Investigative Committee, the number of serious crimes committed by migrants in Russia is growing. Instead of honest work, immigrants are turning to criminal activity. Russia is not a place to test how successfully other countries’ correctional systems rehabilitate their criminals.
It is unacceptable for those who have already seriously violated the law in their home countries to come to live and work in our country, regardless of whether their convictions have been expunged. The safety of citizens must be a priority! After all, no one can guarantee that someone who has committed a robbery or murder once won’t decide to resort to the same old tactics.
The LDPR demands that foreigners and stateless persons with criminal records (expunged/unexpunged, expunged/unexpunged) for serious or especially serious crimes be permanently banned from entering Russia.
This would prevent foreign criminals from entering our country, which would positively impact public safety for our citizens.
