34 years ago a meeting of the first opposition party in the USSR took place

Then, on December 13, 1989, Vladimir Zhirinovsky’s ideas about a socially oriented state with a diverse economy and guaranteed implementation of civil rights and freedoms for the residents of Russia were first voiced and formed the basis of the program. These program settings guide the party today.

Over the past years, the first opposition political party in modern Russia has come a long way, strengthened its position and won the trust of its voters. Relying on the support of the people, the LDPR actively works in both chambers of the Federal Assembly, in regional parliaments, and in municipal representative bodies of government. Party deputies are aimed at constructive dialogue with other political forces and are ready to work to solve the country’s socio-economic problems.

From the first day, the LDPR has taken a patriotic position, makes a significant contribution to ensuring Russia’s interests in the world, supports the volunteer movement, shoulder to shoulder helping every day to bring Victory closer in a special military operation.

Deputies, senators, regional and local coordinators, activists, members of youth organizations – all those who work every day for the benefit of people, solve party problems, know how to listen and provide help when it is really needed.

We continue to compare everything that happens in our lives with the ideas of our mentor, the Founder of the party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky. He can be proud of his creation. The goals that Vladimir Volfovich put at the forefront play a key role on the path that the LDPR is taking today, carrying all sensible people along with it.

I congratulate all party members, everyone who shares the ideas of the LDPR, on the birthday of the Party.
