On the sidelines of the exhibition “LDPR: 35 years with the people” the initial meeting of the organizing committee for the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Vladimir Zhirinovsky’s birthday has ended.
For the first time in history, in honor of a modern politician, according to the decree of the President of Russia, large-scale events will be held at the state level. The organizing committee, chaired by Vyacheslav Viktorovich Volodin, includes the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia, federal ministers, heads of large companies, universities, our party members and LDPR veterans, and media representatives. Many were personally acquainted with Zhirinovsky, all of them were here today.
We started with a tour of the exhibition. This is the history of the LDPR, as Vladimir Volfovich himself saw it. We have covered the entire difficult path of the party from 1989 to the present day. I thank Vyacheslav Viktorovich and the members of the organizing committee for holding the meeting at the site of the LDPR anniversary exhibition. It is important for us to convey in future events the energy and spirit that the party founded 35 years ago by Zhirinovsky has.
We discussed proposals from the LDPR team. This is the publication of the fundamental collected works of Zhirinovsky, TV series, documentaries, plays and other projects in the field of culture and education. Vladimir Volfovich’s favorite “Russian Ball”, scientific “Zhirinovsky Readings” and a large-scale exhibition about the life and political activities of the Founder.
In memory of the LDPR agitation train, on which Vladimir Volfovich traveled around the country, we proposed launching a named train route “Russia. Zhirinovsky” and an electric train of the Moscow metro “Moscow. Zhirinovsky”. Oleg Valentinovich Belozerov, CEO and Chairman of the Board of JSC Russian Railways, supported our idea. Monuments and memorials will be erected in several regions where the Founder of the LDPR often visited.
If we speak on a political scale, Zhirinovsky’s anniversary will take place tomorrow. Vladimir Volfovich is a national treasure of Russia. Memorial events in his honor will be an important event for the entire country. He believed in the people, believed in the great future of Russia, even when it was not prestigious. Honoring him and preserving his memory will strengthen national self-awareness.
