LDPR chairman Leonid Slutsky stressed that the Kalashnikov concern is working “at the forefront of today’s military-industrial complex of Russia.” They produce Kalashnikov assault rifles (AK) of various modifications, the Dragunov sniper rifle (SVD), Nikonov assault rifles, the Bizon submachine gun, hunting and sporting rifles.
‒ This is the flagship of not only Russian, but also global arms production. Perfect discipline, state-of-the-art equipment and specialists obsessed with their profession,” he noted. ‒ In each section, people give their best. The Izhevsk Arms Plant is already 215 years old, it has changed its name many times, but small arms of the Kalashnikov brand are known all over the world.
