For the development of Mari El it is necessary to close the North-South railway corridor

Together with the LDPR team, we conducted a working visit to the Republic of Mari El. We talked with SVO participants undergoing treatment at the Republican Clinical Hospital of War Veterans. All patients noted the care and involvement of doctors who help them get back on their feet.

We discussed with the head of the republic Yuri Viktorovich Zaitsev the situation in the region, including in the healthcare sector. We receive many complaints from residents about the lack of specialized specialists and difficulties in making appointments. It is necessary to attract graduates of medical universities to the region and create conditions for them to live a comfortable life. This is the program task of the Liberal Democratic Party. We defend the mandatory provision of housing for doctors and targeted distribution. Doctors’ salaries should be increased.

In addition, Mari El is not easy to get to. The existing dead-end railway line does not allow for the required volume of export of products from republican enterprises. It is also difficult for tourists to get to Yoshkar-Ola. By connecting the northern and southern branches of the Trans-Siberian Railway through the territory of the republic, it is possible to increase both logistics opportunities for entrepreneurs and the influx of tourists.

The LDPR has established constructive work with Russian Railways, and together we managed to launch solutions to several similar situations. We agreed with Yuri Viktorovich that the LDPR faction will join in solving this problem.
