It is necessary to expand the list of available professions for children with special needs

We held a meeting in Blagoveshchensk with large families, including those raising children with special needs.

In the Amur region there is no rehabilitation center that would deal with inclusive education and socialization of children. In such a center, it would be possible to organize interest groups and extended day groups for children to help parents. A project for the construction of a rehabilitation center in Blagoveshchensk has been developed. We will prepare an appeal to the Ministry of Eastern Development, it is necessary to support the project from the federal center.

With the proper quality of inclusive education, children with disabilities can become good specialists and fully integrate into society. Unfortunately, now only a list of professions established in Soviet times is available to disabled children. For example, a shoemaker, a seamstress, a baker… But the situation on the labor market has changed. The guys are passionate about computers and may well become IT specialists.

We plan to hold a round table in the LDPR faction and invite experts to prepare appropriate amendments. We will also invite the chairman of the board of the Amur regional public organization for social support of disabled children and their parents “Source” Irina Mamaeva. We are confident that in the future she will be able to become an expert at the State Duma Committee on Family Protection, Issues of Paternity, Maternity and Childhood.
